Can I access supplies at special discount rates?

Depending on the workspace provider, you’ll achieve a level of buying power that can help keep your expenses down. In some instances the savings could be substantial. These purchasing advantages work in two ways:

  1. Bulk buying plans and Groupon-type arrangements that your workspace operator pursues and offers — or that you’re able to forge on your own with colleagues, usually at a CO-working Space; and,
  2. Outright discount programs that workspace operators arrange directly with vendors, and that are passed along to you as a member or tenant (such as office supplies, travel, or restaurant coupons and special offers) which you’ll find on the workspace’s website, portals or in your email or snail mail mailboxes.

Think of a workspace as the place where there’s ample opportunity for businesspeople and entrepreneurs to potentially, not only get you good buying power (such as for group insurance plans) and discounts, but to also get provide you with leads, especially if you incentivize them with a finder’s fee. There are members and tenants in certain workspaces who not only save on supplies and other purchases, but who also make pretty good money through networking and referrals.

Workspace, in this day and age, is no longer just a static destination to ply one’s trade. It’s also a chamber of commerce — and in fact some function as the ultimate chamber of commerce, with plenty of savings and business leads to be had, especially at the better run ones. Just like the demand for good service for one’s hard-earned dollar is increasing, the workspace industry is rising to the occasion with plenty of varieties, price-points, service levels and benefits to choose from, with discounts on supplies and other buying power just one of the many advantages of signing on with a quality serviced workspace provider.
